In 2021 the Downtown Group  will be assisting new businesses and related initiatives to recover from the economic effects of Covid-19.
DHCD Rapid Recovery Plan
The
Downtown Group, with the support of ProAdams and Town of Adams, has been awarded a grant for technical assistance to complete a  study by the end of August 2021 to revitalize the downtown area.  The recommendations will be implemented by the end of 2021.   Updated information on the grant can be found on our Rapid Recovery Plan page.
Food and Wellness Hub 
The Downtown Group is supporting the proposed Food and Wellness Hub, which is part of the Mausert Block Development.

The Hub is a regional intervention point for food access; healthy food availability; consumer education; workforce development; and other health and wellness issues.

News on progression of this exciting project should be received in August.

Food Innovation District 
The Downtown Group is supporting the proposed Food Innovation District in Adams,  The District coordinates food-orientated businesses, services, and community activities to spur regional food system development and increase access to local and healthy food.
Business Advocacy Team 
Our Business Advocacy Team provides assistance  to help as many businesses open and thrive.  
​The team provides free advice on business plans, legal, zoning, building code, financial, design, real estate, and marketing issues. 
Civic and Merchant Support
We will continue to support and co-ordinate with merchants and the other civic groups to help and assist the existing retailers and encourage new businesses into Adams.
